RE: Tell us about your favorite trail ride.

Favorite spot that Ive ridden around here is LA Dunes in Forest Hill, La. Basically located in central La its about an hour and 10 minutes from my driveway to their gates. The terrain varies from sand to trails, mud, a few climbs, and some deep washouts. So there is plenty enough to keep busy. There is also a pretty nice freshwater lake that you can swim in. Probably the only downfall is we dont get much wind in Louisiana so the sand can often get rough. It's no Little Sahara or Glamis but it's fun.

RE: Trailboss330 chain tighten ? weird

If you have the tensioner all the way out and there is still too much slack in the chain then it is stretched.

RE: More bad press. How stupid can people be?

You know this makes me think about your thread on Dumbing down of atv riders, basically ATVs are TOO easy to ride, thus people ride 2 up with children and talk on cell phones. Speaking of which what are we nearing with society if everyone seems to jump and answer the cell phone either a call or texting imediatley without thinking "hmmm, is this the safest time to answer this call?" No joke, to some cell phones are just another extention of their body. Sad to hear the child suffered for the parent's stupidity.

Yeah, its pretty minor really. Its not like you have antifreeze corroding the bejesus out of clutch covers and clogging up the cooling system, or frames cracking. http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s218/cryptosopidium/fry-see-what-you-did-there.jpg

So do I. It will be a couple months before I can hit the sand again but Im really looking forward to trying them. My brother may get me to do a full smooth buff on his left over stockers.

RE: Good idea or bad idea??? UPDATED**W/ PIC**

So I finally got around to trying this. I had bought a set of Kenda MXs for my front stock wheels and got them mounted a couple weeks ago. So I began thinking about how I would go about doing this. I began by using a set of snips to cut the knobbies I wanted to remove about as close to the tire surface as I could. Once I got all the knobbies cut I used a grinding wheel on a hand grinder to smooth what was left of the knobbies even with the surface of the tire and then buffed that out so that it all blended in. Then I decided I didnt want DUNLOP on the sides so I basically did a bead to bead buffing of the whole tire. I might touch them up a bit but here are the results. Im pretty happy with how it turned out. Ive got about 2 hours total in one tire. Also cut more weight then I expected. Tire started at 13 pounds when I started and was 9 by the time I was done. Now I just need to do the other one and get a set of Douglas blue labels for the front. What do you think? http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w25/YOUR-AD-HERE/z4c%20stuff/DSC00348.jpg

RE: A cheaper alternative to a helmet cam....

One thing that I really want to know about them is how long the battery last. I would expect aproximately 30 minutes in continuous recording mode. Thats about what I get with my camera which is a similar style only older. Thats about what I was expecting. 20-30 minutes of footage is ALOT to sort through and edit.
